Online Degree Program FAQs
How do I drop or withdraw from an online course?
For each semester of your program, there will be a deadline by which you can add or drop a class. You can do this by logging on to MyCIU and selecting “Add/Drop Courses.”
If you need to withdraw from a class after the add/drop deadline, you will need to submit an official “Course Withdrawal” form, which you can get by contacting the registrar’s office. It’s very important to complete this form. If you don’t officially withdraw from the course, you will receive an F in that class.
How do I know when my assignments will be due?
Important coursework deadlines will be in your class syllabus, which your instructors will make available to you online. Some instructors may have alternative methods of informing you of deadlines, and they’ll let you know what those are when you begin your classes.
How do I enroll in and access my online classes?
Once you have been accepted into your program of choice, you will receive information on how to log in to Canvas, CIU’s learning management system.
If you have questions about registering for classes, reach out to our expert online recruiters at onlinedegrees@shiyoua.com or (803) 200-2570.
